Who are you? Thanks for saving my life.
I happen to be a paper hoarder, sometimes I weed through cards, letters, scrapbooking supplies and last night was one of those times.
I can't even throw away old cards, stickers and so on, so I box them up and mail them for my cousin's grandson to play with or for her to do scrapbooking herself.
I found a card. I didn't recognize the signature but it was located in office Christmas parties pictures from 10 years ago, so figured it had to be a previous coworker. She had written her entire name and it was an uncommon Latino name.
I couldn't place her. I sat and thought of every Latino woman I had ever worked with! It took me over an hour to remember who it was who wrote such precious words!
"You are lovely and wonderful and I love you a lot. I will miss you and I will visit you and will never forget you for you have imprinted in my mind and heart. I wish you nothing but the best. Take care."
The first thing I thought when I read it, "Did I tell her to write this?" 😉 I mean, the words were something I would want to hear.
"I ...will never forget you. You have imprinted in my mind and heart." Words all of us would want to hear - words that would tell us we had made a difference in someone's life.
Dare I say, words that could convince you someone would miss you if you were gone.
I want everyone to know there is someone who feels this way about you. Even if it takes you an hour to remember.
Even if it takes a day. Stay to find out.
